leaving the Santa monica diner and also have missing discipline powers

i am doing the quest where Therese asks me to go to the diner. problem is every time the fight finishes the police show up. i can't actually leave the diner. all that happens is the game loads and as soon as i step outside i die.... And no i have specced all tough guy i am playing a ventrue and this doesn't seem to make sense to me i just end up dying instantly.... what can i do>

I also just ntoiced that i don't sem to be able to get dominate powers past level 2, sucide is nto showing as one of my powers once i've selected it...

This scene was not changed by me; the police are actually part of the vanilla game. There's conditions controlling how and when the police show up, but I'm not sure what they are. I would try killing the restraunt employees quickly, as an effort to keep them from calling the 5-0.

If you're really stuck though, you could use the console command "notarget", so that the police don't see you when you leave. Once you espcae, you can turn it off, using the same command. If you don't know how to use the console, it's something that can be easily googled. The VTMB mod guide actually has explicit instructions for turning it on.

This is a bug caused by Camarilla Edition, when that mod changes the blood cost of the various disciplines. There is no way around that. You still have your powers, but they will not show up in the scroll rotation of your disciplines. The only fix is to bind them to new hotkeys (default key for hotkeys is "K"). Doing this you can set your other powers to any key on the keyboard, and then access them that way.
